Every team needs a leader; no one can know more about the intricacies of your mind/body/spirit than you do (when you are really honest with yourself and well informed).
And, no one has more to gain from the improvement in your healthspan than you.
the ideal composition for this team is very individual- and requires some thinking and searching on your part.
My current team includes a dentist, naturopath, acupuncturist, physician, ayurvedic coach and yogi, a counselor and some internet experts(very carefully selected). In the past, I have worked closely with several brilliant physical therapists and behavioral health specialists (masters and PhD), a trainer and multiple health coaches.
Being the captain requires leadership and active participation in the game.
Thanksgiving Day has so many special aspects that highlight how much we have to be grateful for. You get to pick your focus- family, friends, football, feast, foliage and so much more. It is easy to get swept up in the planning, or to feel sadness if something from the past is no more- Taking a few moments to get quiet, and focus on what is going right can turn that around.
