When you learn mindfulness, you improve your ability to be present. Presence is a gift you give yourself and the people around you. When you are present, you are in the moment- and able to appreciate the little and big things that make up a life.

Today is when we think about the autumn equinox

the time when day and night are equally long, starting the journey into winter with longer nights and shorter days.

Another opportunity to pause and think about intention.

Days filled with intention pass differently from days that are not. This does not mean having every moment committed, but rather, living on purpose.
It is so very easy to slip into Doing rather than Being; it also is not hard to change the focus to BEing... something to consider- what could that look like or feel like?

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
