The weather is warming. In the Southwest, residents of the desert enjoy the remaining days of mild sunshine. In the North, people look forward to days longer than nights, as the warmth of the sun returns.
Spring is the time of new beginnings. It is a natural time to pause , reflect, and decide what you want your health to be.
This is a good time to take an honest look at our personal health status and habits, and think about choices.
Some things to consider:
mental clarity: ability to focus, calmness or agitation, impact of sleep, social media, meditation or exercise
sleep: quality and quantity, what impacts it?
food: choices, variety, patterns of eating
movement: how much of the day is long stretches of sitting? movement and exercise of both heart and muscles
News and social media: how much time, how is it impacting health and attitude?
If you don't know where you are starting, and where you want to go, how will you know when you get there?
We are affected by everything that enters our body, through our eyes, skin, mouth or ears.
How we choose impacts our healthspan.
The plants are blossoming, let's join them!
It's never too soon , or too late, to start. Do one (or more) things that support health
Thanksgiving Day has so many special aspects that highlight how much we have to be grateful for. You get to pick your focus- family, friends, football, feast, foliage and so much more. It is easy to get swept up in the planning, or to feel sadness if something from the past is no more- Taking a few moments to get quiet, and focus on what is going right can turn that around.
